We are honoured to be working with NHS England on a variety of projects as part of the huge NHS mobilisation plan to deal with the growing number of Covid-19 cases.
IHP- Mersey G-MEX Conversion to NHS Field hospital – The hospital has up to 750 beds for patients. It will provide care for those who no longer need to be in a critical care environment. It will also link closely to community health and social care services, as well as the hospitals across the North West region.
IHP-Mersey Bangor Conversion to NHS Field hospital – The Canolfan Brailsford sports centre at Bangor University was converted into a 230-bed field hospital. Working with Vinci and its supply chain will helped convert squash courts, three sports halls, and two other rooms into hospital wards.
IHP-Mersey Queensferry ice rink Conversion to NHS Field hospital – The Deeside Leisure Centre in Queensferry is also being converted to house 185 beds. This has involved demolishing a 16,000 square foot skating rink and laying 600 tonnes of screed in 72 hours.
IHP-Mersey Tom finney sports entre Conversion to NHS Field hospital – Work has now started to transform the space into a 150-bed community recovery centre.
