VINCI Building’s Water Meadow View team has launched a new Community Skills Centre—an on-site, hands-on training hub designed to support and empower local young people. Located within the peaceful, green surroundings of Guild Park, Water Meadow View forms part of a £32 million investment in modern, therapeutic facilities. Its name, chosen in collaboration with service users, reflects the picturesque landscape that provides an ideal setting for mental health recovery and wellbeing.

The Community Skills Centre offers a uniquely supportive training environment, distinct from mainstream education routes. Many of its participants have faced challenges within traditional school settings or have been excluded altogether, making the centers tailored, practical approach essential for helping them build confidence and new skills.

To ensure a high-quality, secure, and user-friendly environment, VINCI incorporated premium components supplied by RB Architectural Hardware. Among these were advanced access-control solutions designed to enhance both security and the overall experience of those using the facility.

I wanted to say thank you to John Hornby, I had a problem that I needed help with. I wanted to find a solution to convert an analogue intercom to a smart one. I contacted various security and intercom companies who wanted to sell me a new system and told me it can’t be done. John had detailed knowledge of the Nuki opener, a genius device that does exactly what I wanted for my air bnb. Not only did he sort my order with efficiency he then went far beyond that and assisted with the installation. We can all buy a box from Amazon. But they won’t be giving this support. Rb supplied our Salto System in 2017 and although we are relatively small set up, their attention to detail was exemplary. I have been using the bespoke system ever since with full technical support whenever needed. The team are always knowledgeable and helpful.
