Rowan View – A New Generation of Mental Health Hospitals

This exciting development is called Rowan View and represents Merseycare’s strong ambition for a centre of excellence in forensic care. It will be a place of innovation, using the latest technology and therapeutic techniques. Rowan View represents a step change in care for service users, preparing them for life afterwards. It will deliver innovative treatments to improve recovery times for people with mental health and learning disabilities.

Kier are delivering a high quality, centre of excellence regional medium secure unit on the Maghull Health Park. The development of the new 123 bedded MSU over eight wards provides 77 beds for mental illness and 46 for Learning Disabilities. The facility will provide a modern therapeutic model of care allowing areas for personal space and opportunities to use the latest technological innovations to assist in the care of service users.

Working with Kier again within the supply chain we supplied all ironmongery and signage requirements as specified by the client. Products where supplied in line with all current legislation and requirements for how the building will be utilised. We continue to forge a strong and ongoing relationship with Kier that strengthens which each job completed. We have a good understanding of their requirements and timescales and work consistently to maintain the customer service level they expect.

The high-quality environment, built to the latest BREEAM sustainable standards, offers a healthy modern workplace for staff. The facility will be constructed with a BREEAM rating of Excellent.
